Blog Schmog

So much has happened in the last few months and from the looks of my blog, it's as if nothing has happened at all. I like to blog. I need to start doing it again. I like to keep record of my cute kids beacause, lets face it, they are ridiculously great and I am realizing more than ever how fast they are growing and changing. Miles is 6 months old already. He has discovered that his voice can be a great source of entertainment. That kid can scream sooo loud and the pitch is so high it just hurts my head. At his 6 month check-up he was 18 lbs. 9 oz. He has got the fattest legs I have seen. He is all body, his legs are quite short. According to Steve, this is the build of a football player. All I know is that he could be a professional snuggler. This kid loves to be held and he just melts right into me, I can't help but hold him all day. No wonder I get nothing done.

Another new happening is that we moved.... just down the road.... new ward though. The house doesn't feel like home yet. We have our stuff in here but I haven't even gotten around to organizing my pantry. There are no pictures on the walls, and my bedroom I fear, will never come together. It's a fabulous bedroom. It;s on the top floor of the house and it's huge!! and HOT!! The bathroom is super tiny and there is no vent in there and it may as well be a sauna. Then on the upside, I have a french door leading out onto a little private deck. This has potential to be great of course but as of right now there are pieces of steves desk he has not yet assembled in front of it. maybe by the end of summer, we can enjoy it. The baby's room is nearly finished. What is it about babies rooms that are so fun to decorate? My mom made this great, colorful quilt so it has been easy to just toss whatever color in there and it just works.

I shaved Sammos head... then Steve wanted his shaved too. I dig Steve with a shaved head... just sayin' I will post a pic soon so you can see what I mean. Miles is also bald. I suppose he is the one that set the trend. Speaking of hair, that is half of my life at the moment. Work has been so so busy. Which is good right? I'm just so glad I son't schedule my own appointments anymore. It's so hard for me to tell someone I can't get them in for 2 weeks It's better that Miss Barbara does it.

Sophie is so much fun and so trying right now. She loves to do "make-up overs" She was doing my makeup the other night and as she was putting it on me she exclaimed, "Girrrl you look GOOD!" Oh man, she's the best. You should have seen her handiwork too. I looked like I had been beat up.

Sam has spent his summer playing outside. He goes next door to play basketball. We don;t have a hoop at this house. My neighbor told me that he knocked ont the door to ask to their hoop and then did the same the next day but said, "Am I welcome to play anytime I want, or would you like me to ask you everytime first?" He is such a sweet kid. He has been so helpful to me and always seems to want to lighten my load somehow. Whenever we are in the check-out line, He scolds me if I try to help put the groceries on the little conveyor belt thingy. He has decide that it's his job and I should just "relax". I love him. And I love that he made me a mama. It's my favorite thing to be.

Maybe with a goal of blogging, I will get some projects done around the house, so I can post pictures of them, and whoever reads it will think I'm super awesome.
