Baby girl is 1

I hate when things don't turn out as expected... I often build something up in my head of how I want it to be and alot of times, I end up dissapointed.
This was most definetly not one of those times. I think I imagined having a little girl a gazillion times in my head, since I was old enough to have pretty little baby dolls. My little girl was going to be cheribic and toe headed... docile and squishy. Instead I got a little pokey haired brunette that arrived sticking her tounge out at me. She was tiny, but doe eyed and I couldn't have been more surprised.
Now, she is my little one year old sassypants. She is learning to throw a pretty fantastic fit and knows what she wants. She is giggly and smiley and silly alot of the time. She loves when music is playing, she has some sweet moves that are all her own. She brings so much spice to our sometimes vanilla house and I will be honest when I say, I am a little nervous how her sassines translates for the future.... Please bless her stubborness turns to a mature strenghth and not rebeliousness :)

We had a little party for the girl and I was testing out my little sisters camera and her memory card won't work in my computer for uploading and she left her cord in Mississippi. Her birthday party post will have to wait. She was pretty darn cute though, and like my baby dolls, I get to play dress-up with her.

This little man of mine

Sam is such an unreal kid. He has just always had this goodness about him that I think will always be with him. He is so naturally obedient and can sense feelings and has such an intense desire to protect those he loves. (even if he is afraid of flies) I know he has never even considered telling a lie and always asks permission. We finally got over that he doesn't need to ask me if he can go potty. If he does have freak out moments it is generally because he is tired or hungry. I know he has his things that can be difficult but more and more I am realizing what a special little guy I have here...
Last night when I was putting him to bed and we were in our usual nose to nose snuggle, I was complimenting him about what a good boy he was all day for dad while I was at work and that I didn't think he could be mean or naughty if he tried. To which he said, "I'm Like Jesus huh."
So after a laughed a little and scooped up my heart that was in a warm puddle one the floor, I kissed him good night and realized what a lucky mama I am.
